How to fix PS3 yellow line of death?

I think my PS3 has the yellow line of death. Is there anyway to fix it. I've searched around online and have found no definitive answer. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What is the best way to fix ps3 SIXAXIS thumb sticks?

My original Ps3 controller has been stolen and my friend gave me a SIXAXIS one cause he said the the thumb sticks are sticky. I told him I would fix them but im not sure that the brand new thumb sticks will fix the sticky problem. Dose anyone know if new thumb sticks will fix the sticky problem?
