I Need a New Home Internet Router. What Features Do I Look For?

I currently have a router that works, but my home wifi signal has been freezing up a lot lately. My router is probably 10 years old and cost $40 then. It's a dlink 524. I now have 2 wired computers, wired printer, wifi…Wii, playstation, 2 laptops, 4 phones and Netflix (and prob more connected to it). I have about 12 mbs broadband connection. Will a new router help?
