Issues with the Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 is the second game console developed by Microsoft and was officially released in 2005 for retail sales. This gaming machine was an instant hit with game aficionados and is still considered one of the most popular gaming consoles across the globe. Its popularity is attributed to cutting edge graphics, huge game library and easy maneuverability.

Almost immediately after the official launch of this excellent gaming console, Xbox 360 owners had enough reasons to look for Xbox 360 repair guides across the internet. Weird as it may sound, but this new gaming console is prone to at least 100 technical issues that can render it unusable. According to various retailers, failure rate of the Xbox 360 is pretty high and so is the demand for an easy Xbox 360 repair guide. Microsoft claims that the console has a failure rate of just 16.6%, but private tests suggest that the rate is above 60%. Even if we were to believe Microsoft’s figures, a 16.5% failure rate for an electronic system is way beyond normal. If your system turns out to be faulty, Microsoft will repair it only if it’s still under warranty and shows no signs of rough handling.

There’s another big issue with this console. Hundreds of defective consoles from different corners of the cxountry get sent back to Microsoft for repair work everyday. It’s not possible for them to repair every console and send back to the owner within a fortnight. The turn around times are bound to get affected. And that is exactly what is happening right now. Once sent for repair, you’ll have to wait for at least two months before you get your Xbox 360 back with all bugs fixed.

The most common error encountered is the “Red Ring of Death” [three red lights error]. The manufacturers refer to it as a general hardware failure, but you’ll have to send the system back to them if you want it to work properly. The rise in the number of technical problems and turn around times has led gamers to look for ways to fix the bugs at home using easily available tools.

There are many websites offering fixes, but you can’t really trust every Joe on the web when it comes to fixing your “prized” gaming console. The best way is to sign up with the site that has the most trusted bunch of certified hardware professionals and let them show you how to fix the Xbox 360 with little or no technical knowledge.
