A Priest is a genuine mana consumer whether he chooses to play a healer or a dps caster and therefore he will need a lot of spirit which will help him regenerate mana much faster, intellect which will give him a greater amount of mana and of course, a lot of spell power. As each other class the priest has three talent trees available to him and these are Discipline, Holy and Shadow. Click here to watch the video: Priest Guide
The First talent tree I would like to discuss is the Holy talent tree which is designed for priests with a PvE healing aspiration. Spells like Guardian Spirit and Circle of Healing will become available to the priest through this talent tree and together with the spells every priest has and the other great talents that can be found in this talent tree, a Holy priest is one of the better healers in the game. Shadow Priests are famous for their Shadow form which not only looks interesting it also gives a Shadow Priest more spell power.
As a Shadow Priest you will have a few dot spells which deal a nice amount of damage over time. They are also greatly valued in raids and groups not only because they can be good damage dealers but also because of their ability to heal and give mana back to the party members. Priests who are more into the PvP game play will definitely choose the Discipline tree. They are really tough because they have protective spells which make the priest and his allies really hard to kill.
riests have some of the strongest buffs in the game namely their Stamina, Spirit and Shadow Protection buff. Besides these buffs they can resurrect others, dispel diseases and magic effects, shackle undead NPCs, fear others, burn other’s mana and more. Threat plays an important role in WoW and luckily the Priests can fade when they get a bit too much agro to reduce their threat. A Priest doesn’t have a lot of choices when it comes to the armor he should wear because he can only wear equip cloth armor. They are not high on hit points as other classes are but they definitely have a large mana pool. If a Priest chooses to become Shadow, he will need to have a certain stats on his gear. A Priest needs to have a lot of spell power, spirit, intellect, hit rating and critical strike rating.
For holy priests it is similar but they for them haste rating is much more important than the hit or crit rating. One downside of a priest is leveling it because it takes quite a bit of time, even if you decide to level it as a Shadow priest. When you get the Shadow Form somewhere around level 40 it will all start to go a lot faster and at higher levels even if you choose to become a full healer be assured you will be needed in any instance group or a raid, since healers have always been a necessity in the World of Warcraft.
