This Weeks Chart Report from Chart Track

This weeks piece of video game news coming your way. GfK Chart track has once again released the weekly all formats gaming charts and they have seen Wii Sports Resort once again climb to the top spot, only just beating the recent Wolfenstein release.

For the past 2 weeks, Ashes Cricket 2009 claimed the all formats top spot, however, Wii Sports Resort has managed to reclaim it’s crown and get back onto the 1st place. Reclaiming this sport now means the title has been at the top for 15 weeks since it’s release earlier this year.

Unfortunately, the recently released Wolfenstein game didn’t manage to get overall top spot. Missing only 2000 sales, Wolfenstein only managed the number 1 spot for the Ps3, Xbox 360 and PC charts, just not the all formats chart.

Although Activision are a little disappointed that they didn’t claim the top spot, they should still be happy with second place, plus still having Call of Duty: World at War and Prototype still within the top 10 sellers.

However, Activision and Nintendo might lose some places this week when the new Batman: Arkham Asylum game is released. This game has already become extremely popular within the pre-order charts, also, with the release of the demo a few weeks ago, sites that do video game reviews have been eager to get this game. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the new Batman game jump right to the top spot.

Here are the top 20 games in the all format charts by Chart Track, all of which have been given brilliant video game ratings.
