In a normal combat situation, you may only use those often to use spells. But in a specific situation and condition, sometimes you need those rare to use spells. If you do not know what those spells do, then you are most likely to loose the battle. That is why you need to learn all your spells. Having more knowledge of what your character can do will not hurt.
3. You need to have a big slots of bag since this bag will be very helpful in your journey. In World of Warcraft, you will need to carry your items in your bag. Bag with a few slots can only contain few items. Bag with lots of slots can contain lots of items. In your journey, sometimes you will came across a valuable items. When your bag is small, it will be very quick to be full and can not carry anymore. Then you need to drop your less valuable item in exchange for that valuable item. That is why having a big slots of bag as quickly as possible can be very helpful in your adventure.
4. Although you have a big slot of bags, you still can not carry all the items you found in your adventure. There is always limitation on how many items you can carry. So the smart thing to do is to sell the items you carry. In exchange you will have more gold and more space in your bag for other items. You can sell your items in the Auction House or go to a game merchant. Having more gold will definitely help you on your journey since you can buy items or equipments you need to make your character more powerful or to make your journey easier. I would suggest selling all the items you do not need in your slot bag. Never to retain items which you do not need and carry it all the times in your journey. Be wise when choosing what items to retain and what items to sell.
5. The Horde has both, the best and the worst hub cities in Azeroth. The best hub city is the Undead Undercity. The city is designed in a circle shape so it is impossible for you to get lost. You can easily navigate and explore the city. Finding a shop is a simple task in this city. The worst hub city is Orgrimmar. If Undead Undercity is designed in a circle shape, Orgrimmar is designed like a maze. It is hard to find your way in the city and most likely to be lost. My advise is to avoid Orgrimmar since it will only consume your valuable time.
6. Do remember to pay attention to your skill level. Many players tend to miss this tips. They tend to overlook their skill level, which can cost you skill point increases if your level is already at the max.
7. You need to avoid enemies if they attack you in group. Run away from them. Eventually they will stop chasing you after a certain distance. Fighting group of enemies can definitely give you lots of experience. But that is if you win the fight. So it is better to fight group of enemies when you are confident enough that you will gain victory.
