How Do You Download Free Movies and Games Onto Your Ps3?

My friend has about 100 movies downloaded onto his 250 GB PS3 and he didn't pay for any of them. He also has about 10 games under the demo tab but they are not demos, they are downloaded games from the PlayStation store. A couple of these games he paid for but the majority he said he downloaded. My friend's brother was the one who downloaded this stuff but he does not live there anymore so I don't see him (otherwise I'd ask him.) I'm not sure if you need a huge USB Flash Drive or what to do this but I would like to know, even if there is no way I can do it. If you know, please inform me. Thanks!

Suggestion:

You can hook up an external HDD to the PS3 and transfer data that way instead of using a tiny flash drive. I can only assume he torrented these files on his PC and later used an external HDD to transfer them to PS3.
