Suggestion:
do you have your system up-to-date – firmware version 3.30 ?
it might be dead , does it charge when plugged into the ps3 ?
have you tried resetting the controller ?
look at the top center on the back for a hole – press something into it to reset
if it doesn't charge even after a reset go buy a new one .
if it charges let it fully charge then hit the ps button to synch it .
