How Do I Get My Ps3 Fixed?

I remember when my PS2 stopped working I just had to mail it away somewhere for ~$25. My PS3 isn't working anymore and I was wondering if I can do the same sort of thing again.

and once you get a human to talk to, explain your problem to him/her.
they'll ask for you system's serial number and your email and phone number.
They will probably do some trouble shooting with you first.
When my ps3 was retarded, we didn't talk about me sending in my system until my 3rd call.
So when they finally ask you to send it in, you give your address and stuff like that and then they'll give you a number. Write it down cuz it'll be important. They'll send you a prepaid box and you pack up your ps3 and ship it off using Fedex. Since it's prepaid you don't need to pay for shipping.
For the actual repairing, you WILL have to pay if you ARE NOT under warranty.
I was still under warranty, so everything was free to me. The whole process, including them sending me the empty box to begin with, took a little less than 2 weeks. From Wisconsin to Texas.
