How to Fix the Ps3 Dns Error?

This is the year 2011. I have lost all hope. The conventional method of writing DNS addresses manually (the ones which are 207.67 or something) don't work. I read somewhere that I should plug in my primary ip address as my router ip and my secondary one as 0.0.0.0.0.0. If that is so, is e router io the wireless router ip or my dsl ip? And how do I find it? and what other fixes are available? I can't connect to the Internet, and when it succeeds, it gives me a DNS error!

Suggestion:

I would have to ask first, why not set the PS3 to acquire the network settings (DHCP). Most home networks work this way. BUT…if yours doesn't, and you are forced to manually enter your settings then I suggest…

Go to a computer that is connected to your network and is able to access the internet. Bring up a command window – (start, run, command) or in win7 just type command in the search box.

In the command window, type:

IPCONFIG/ALL

Then hit enter. You will see a handful of information about your network connection, which will also show IP address of the DNS Server. Use that address in your PS3
