Heartbreaker: Chicano Allende falls for WASP Dunlap among an ambience of custom-fitted cars. Dull self sufficient production is displeasingly devoid of observations into the lifestyle it portrays. Dream Warriors: When agitated kids in a psychiatric clinic find they are being visited in their dreams by the giggling, murderous figure of Freddy Krueger, Nancy Langenkamp, the survivor of the first film and now a psychiatrist, helps another physician and the terrified adolescents battle Freddy. Well written and imaginatively prompted, this is the best of the Elm Road films. Cast includes Heather Langenkamp, Patricia Arquette, Larry Fishburne, Priscilla Arrow, Brooke Bundy, Dick Cavett, and Zsa Zsa Gabor. (78 minutes, 1987)

Nuts: Gripping drama in regards to a belligerent female designated an appointed attorney who should fight for her right to stand trial for manslaughter, while both the state and her own parents demand that she’s not in her right mind. Toy Story: A boy’s top choice toy, a doll named Woody, feels bullied and properly so by the emergence of a new toy, a high-tech spaceman model promoted on Television. An adult story masquerading as a kids film, this tale of kinship, fickleness, and the need for acceptance has a vibrant cast of characters led by Woody and his adversary, Thrill Light-year. Their facial proclamations and body language is as excellent as anything ever seen in a conventional animation. Cast includes Tim Allen, Don Rickles, Jim Varney, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Annie Potts, Laurie Metcalf, and R. Lee Ermey. (80 minutes, 1995)

Playwright Turturro is in love with the corporation’s megastar/supervisor, and longs to have her act his latest play. Flatliners: A group of five medical students start imagining experiencing life after death. One by one, under controlled conditions, they die, and then bring themselves back to life. No one is prepared for the side effects the experience causes them all.
Jackson County Jail: Captive Yvette is dumped on by everyone she meets. So she goes on the lam with another inmate in yet a new chase movie. Livelier than most, this one has developed a cult notoriety. Miller later redid it for Television. Cast includes Yvette Miruieux, Tommy Lee Jones, Robert Carradine, Frederic Chef, Severn Darden, Howard Hesseman, and Mary Woronov. R.’ (89 minutes, 1976)
Absolute Beginners: This film is a British musical. The musical themes are jazzed based with Sade included in the performance. The film is set in London in the late 50′s, with young men and women coming of age as the setting. Eddie O’Connell, Patsy Kensit, David Bowie, and James Fox star. (1986 musical)
