One of the easiest ways to earn money in WoW is using the Cooking Profession. For me, cooking in WoW has always been one of the most satisfying professions. In this guide I expose a few strategies to use with the Cooking Profession to make the most gold possible.
For the 1st 5 levels in WoW you’ll be in a sub-area where you can’t start the cooking profession. The best thing to do here is just save a little money so that when you reach level 5 you can get started with the cooking profession.
Once you are all ready to leave the beginners area, go and speak with a guard and find out where the cooking trainer is located. Go and find the trainer. Your initial recipe is spice bread so head to a cooking supply shop and buy the needed ingredients. Cook the bread until it becomes green.
If you decide to go and quest you may be able to find some of the items you need for cooking. If you come across any meat, eggs, or other cooking ingredients, hang onto them – you’ll save yourself money.
Another tip, when talking with NPC characters, always look through all of the items that they have as you can sometimes stumble upon rare recipes that you don’t have. One of the possible achievements in WoW is based on the number of recipes you have (and know how to use) – this is an easy way to get them.
If you find you are storing too many ingredients that you don’t use, sell a few on the Auction House – this is obviously better than abandoning them – at least you’ll make some cash.
The best way to make money with cooking is by selling items that give a stat boost. You may find these dishes difficult to make at first, but stick at it as in the end you will earn some serious gold with these meals.
Fishing is one profession that works in synergy with cooking – I recommend you strongly consider pairing this with cooking. Some high end meals are made using fish and fishing can obviously provide for this easily. Furthermore, fishing has achievements available.
In order to dominate the Cooking profession, you should choose fishing as another profession to go with it as these work well together. Remember to eat foods to boost your stats before questing and then again to regenerate hit points when resting. To make extra gold, sell four high end foods in the Auction House.
