All Formats Gaming Charts See Wii Sports Report Reclaim Top Spot
A good piece of video game news coming your way. Yet another week of gaming charts have been released by GfK Chart Track and they have seen Wii Sports Resort claim the top spot, once again, only just beating the recently released Activision title, Wolfenstein.
Wii Sports Resort was at the top spot for a number of weeks before Ashes Cricket 2009 took the place two weeks ago, however, they have now managed to reclaim their crown. This rise back to the top spot means that Wii Sports Resort has now spent 15 weeks at number 1 since it’s release.
Unfortunately, Activision wasn’t able to claim the number 1 spot with their recent release, Wolfenstein. Missing only 2000 sales, Wolfenstein only managed the number 1 spot for the Ps3, Xbox 360 and PC charts, just not the all formats chart.
Despite not actually claiming the top spot, Activision should still be pleased that 3 of their games, Call of Duty: World at War, Prototype, and Wolfenstein are all in the top 10 best sellers.
However, Activision and Nintendo might both be knocked off the top spots with the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum this week. This new Batman game has already become popular within the pre-order charts, plus with the demo that was recently released, sites that do video game reviews have been going crazy. I won’t be surprised when the new Batman game rises straight to the number one spot.
Here are the top 20 games in the all format charts by Chart Track, all of which have been given brilliant video game ratings.
