Welcome to Azeroth.Yes, Azeroth is a fictional world which World of Warcraft events took place. With its own unique history, myths and creatures, Azeroth is a very interesting world. Created by the ancient gods, Azeroth is quite similar to our planet Earth. It has beautiful forests, mountains, oceans, cities, caverns, dungeons, and many other interesting structure. Great wars and conflict has happen in Azeroth, making it a great world to have your adventure.
The Azeroth’s world in World of Warcraft in general divide into three huge continents. The inhabitants of the three continents is not what you would find on Earth. The first continent is the Eastern Kingdom. The inhabitants are humans, gnomes and dwarfs. They are known as The Alliance. The second continent is Kalimdor. Orcs, taurens, and trolls inhabited this great continent. They are known as The Horde. The last huge continent is Northrend where the evil and wicked Lich King rules. Other than unique inhabitant race for each continent, each also has unique climate.
Azeroth is a beautiful, rich and detailed world. Although the world of Azeroth is vast but the game is generally easy even for beginners. When playing WoW, you need to choose which side are you on, the Alliance or the Horde. Each side has their own advantages and disadvantages. While the Alliance has more pretty faces and physical, the Horde, on the other hand, has ugly and sometimes scary faces. Although ugly, the Horde in general are stronger in physical strength compare to the Alliance. But no worry, the Alliance is more agile and move faster than the Horde. So you see, each group has their own strengths and weaknesses.
Just like other RPG games, World of Warcraft gave you the freedom to create and design you own character. You are able to customize their armor, weapon, clothing and other accessories. Beside customizing armor, weapon, etc, you need also to choose the classes of your character. There are 9 different classes available in World of Warcraft such as hunter, shaman, warrior, rogue, etc. Each classes has their own unique ability. Combine your group of choice (Alliance or Horde) with the classes you desire and create the greatest hero. Although it may sound rather difficult (choosing group, then choosing classes and customizing character), but when you get into the game, it’ll get easier. You’ll understand more when you play the game.
The main focus when you play World of Warcraft is about exploring new places. All of the levels you need to go through has their own interesting territory for exploration. Along the way, you’ll find many items, which you can keep for your character or trade with other players. In Azeroth, gold is the main currency. You’ll need to collect gold as much as possible so you can upgrade your armor, weapons, buy precious items, etc. It will be no fun if there are no enemies to fight and kill. In your exploration, you’ll find monsters and savage creatures which you need to defeat in order to progress. And you can also fight another player and see how good you are mastering your character.
Controlling your character is not an issue when you play World of Warcraft. The game itself optimize the use of keyboard and mouse. The control system is also sensible. Newcomers wouldn’t have a problem mastering the control. In WoW, the game also provide you with in-game camera. With the camera, you’re freely to look around and see the full view of your surroundings.
