Cars in Need for Speed – Underground 2

Need For Speed: Underground 2 was released in 2004 by Electronic Arts to rave reviews. Continuing to build on its predecessor Need For Speed: Underground, this iteration continued to offer gamers more customization features that could be modified and incorporated on each individual car that was either won or purchased within the game.

NFS: U2 set a standard not only for the ability to tune and customize cars specifically to a player’s liking, but the sheer number of cars available in the game was an aspect of the experience that a very small number of video games up to this point had been able to rival. Most of the cars were the brand new 2005 models that were just beginning to hit the market when the game released. However, there were also other models of vehicles that had multiple models from different years that were made available to racers.

There were also one other vehicle that did not make it into the Canadian and United States versions of the game. It was only available in games that were shipped overseas to Europe and Asia. The 2005 Vauxhall Corsa was the only exception from the list above due to its absence from the U.S. version of NFS: U2.
