Cheapest Combo
I would say going Jewelcrafting and Mining is a great combo to start with as leveling up JC and Mining will go nicely together. With mining you will get 60 stam once it is maxed out, a nice talent for Tanking and PVP. It is cheap to master as it doesn’t really cost anything other than your time gathering. It will take a few hours but not as long as the main professions
Jewelcrafting will cost you some gold to master, it isn’t the most expensive to raise but it will cost a pretty penny if you are not collecting at least some of the materials yourself from mining. The benefit of this is once you hit 350 you get the ability to create and use 3 gems that give a bigger amount of stats. Such as instead of +20 str, you get +34, instead of +40atk power you get +68. This is a nice bonus and probably the best as there is a bonus for several combinations of stats.
If you have the gold and want the best possible combo, then you may want to look into Jewelcrafting and Blacksmithing. Training both of these will cost a lot of gold, no way around it. With Blacksmithing instead of mining you will have even more versatility in your setup. BS will give you 2 more gem slots, but BS is also the most expensive to powerlevel.
If you have the gold it is definitely worth going for, everyone wants to have that little bit more of an advantage in pvp, and any possibility of squeezing more dps out in pve is all wow is about. So, its really up to you.
