The current stock market game I’m involved with is called Wall Street Survivor & it’s a blast. I first got involved a couples years ago when my interests in the financial markets was beginning to peak. I wanted to trade real money but I wasn’t sure how to go about doing it & I didn’t have much to start with so I needed to develop some strategies to ensure I would be successful when I began trading real money.
I did quite a bit of searching on the internet & it took me a while to find the exact thing I was looking for & it was the Wall Street Survivor Investing game. It’s a really amazing game with a great interface. All the stocks are traded in relation to the actual stocks on the stock market in real time so you could even do day trading if you wanted, I know I have but it really helps to have real time quote (which is something they offer & I recommend). Not only does Wall Street Survivor have a great interface & offer real time quotes to you but they also have a great research center that rivals many of the other investing games out there.
I also can’t stress enough how much that investment contest helped me to prepare for trading my own money, it’s quite ridiculous how much I learned for free. Their forums are amazing for kicking idea’s around & helping you to develop new strategies as well as keeping up to date with what’s going on in the markets.
I almost forgot to mention the cash prizes, not only does Wall Street Survivor offer a free real time stock market simulation, a great learning & research center but they give out cash prizes as well! Not just a few bucks either, they give out thousands of dollars on a regular basis to everyday people like you & me.
