The Rogue is essentially a melee class with a very high damage output. You need to enjoy melee combat and getting into the thick of things if you’re going to enjoy playing the Rogue. The Rogue is also a very stealthy opponent who excels at player vs player combat.
Now as great as the Rogue is, they do have their shortcomings. For one, the Rogue is often seen by many other players as a threat and thus a prime target to kill off early, also while you dual wield, your to hit and damage ratio on your offhand weapon is going to be lowered.
That all aside, the Rogue is a lot of fun to play as, they’re probably one of the most annoying classes in the game, to other people that is. Now getting back to how to level a Rogue, this is the kind of rotation you’re going to have to start with:
Start with a Backstab/Garrote, then use Slice and Dice, Sinister Strike 1-5 times, then finish with Eviscerate/Rupture.
The above sequence will last you all the way up to level 60 believe it or not. From 60 to 80, you can keep doing the same thing as well, just throwing in Adrenaline Rush for an energy boost and Blade Flurry for another speed increase.
If you are getting bored with that though, you can also try this “Mutilate” build, here’s how to execute it:
Start with Hunger for Blood 3 times, then Backstab, Slice and Dice, Mutilate and finish with Envenom or Rupture.
That should answer your questions regarding how to level a Rogue, the attack sequences of the Rogue are really quite simple so that should be enough to get you up and going. If you still want more info though, it’s best to look into a guide.
