Suggestion:
the model number should be on the back side of hte playstation (possibly underside?), usually on a silver sticker with black writing or a black sticker with white writing. "fat playstation" isn't enough information. If you find your model number and it doesn't match, do not buy it, as compatibility issues with hardware are possible from model to model. Different amounts of power are needed for different parts/consoles, and using the wrong hardware could damage the hardware or the console itself.
