Can the Newer Playstation's Still Use or Upload Linux? if Not, is There a Way to Do It?

My overall goal is to build a supercomputer using between 4 to 8 PlayStation's, I know PlayStation had an update that disabled the "Other OS". Is there a way to go back to the old firmware version where Linux would work? Thanks for any help.

Suggestion:

There are a couple exploits that people have done to get Linux running on PS3s (including slims models). I haven't kept up with the progress, so I don't know how easy installation may be now or if the exploit can only be done with certain firmware revisions.

That answer would be no

PS3 Slims NEVER had Other OS capabilities, so the answer to "Can newer PlayStation's still use or upload Linux" is they never have been able to, and they still currently can't.

If you want a PS3 with other OS capabilities, you will need to purchase a used PS3 (fat version) that has firmware version 3.15 or later (Firmware version 3.21 is the version that removed Other OS from fat PS3s, and is what all new PS3 Slim models shipped with).
