Suggestion:
Hotmail is owned by microsoft which is notoriously anti competitive and doesn't allow other operating systems to access their services. I used Hotmail too until I discovered how anti competitive MS really is. After the PSN outage Hotmail/MS marked thousands/millions of "PSN Password Reset" emails, including mine, as spam and deleted them before sending them to people, which was a breach of contract if you ask me. After that I switched to Yahoo, they and Google (gmail) are partners with Sony and allow full PS3 access including email. I suggest you switch to one of them and don't let microsoft f*ck you around any more.

Yes it can recieve emails.
And you can type your letter.
I have ps3 and you can do all of that you just have to learn how to.
i use yahoo. and can check/send mail no prob. maybe it's an issue with hotmail?

When you create a psn account it ask you if you would like to receive email from 3rd part companies( something like that) and emails from Sony

no, i cant access hotmail either on my ps3, it wont let me sign in. thats why i use my xbox for that. don't get me wrong im not a fan boy, i have all three and love them all.
