My Playstation 3 Won't Read Discs…?

I have had it for about 1 year, and it will play playstation 2 games and regular movies, but not playstation 3 games or bluray movies. I have updated my system, i have reset it, reset the file settings and the system settings and everything. Sending it back is not an option. Help…

Suggestion:

It seems like your Blu Ray drive is dead. I think you can go around to local stores and ask if they can replace it.
