check your router settings , to connect to psn you should :
make sure the ps3 is added to the home network ( sometimes your computer won't allow connections because it thinks that it's protecting your system from spyware or something so check firewalls etc. )
forward psn ports through the router – the ports you need to forward or open are listed at the ps3 support website
enable upnp in router settings

basically anything that can block outside server connections has to be set so it knows its safe to allow the connection , especially with wireless but with wired too , since spyware and viruses are everywhere now there's lots of security that you need to bypass and get the ps3 through to get online so read the routers manual , learn to set it up and check it's security settings to tell it's software that the ps3 is supposed to connect

I've been getting disconnected so I'm guessing it's a Playstation Network issue !
