Playstation 3 Help Please?

i need some help,around a month ago my ps3 got a bit of water on it,it switched itself on and ejected a disc.i turned it off at the wall as soon as i noticed it getting wet(my 2 yr old took off his nappy),it has been working ok,but today when we turned it on it ejected a disc that wasn't there and it's off now(just the red light on at the front) but every so often it goes beep beepbeep,you know how they do if you turn it off while its still doing something,does anbody have any idea if it's fixable? it has played games and dvd's fine until then,i have to admit i haven't dared stick one in just in case.btw it is one of the older slightly bigger models,it's about 2 or 3 years old

Suggestion:

If its working then what the prob? My advice would be to use it if it blows up threes nothing you can do apart from buying a other ps3. You could ring sony see what they charge for water damage. But its prob cheaper if not only a bit more for a new ps3 or a 2nd hand one.
