Playstation 3 Question? Help?

ok today i was playing my ps3 and it was running fine, then i went to have lunch, and left my ps3 on red stanby light, few hours later i came back after having a break, and then i turned on my ps3 by touching the red button, it turned on fine, but i must have pressed it twice accidently, then it asked me if i wanted to change my ps3 video settings like 1080p, it said "detected hdmi cable" but a few hours ago it was fine, can anyone please help me what this problem is? im playing on 26 inch lcd t.v, 40gb fat ps3, thanks

Suggestion:

it's because you reset your ps3 settings. you probably held the "on" button for a while. just set your settings and your ps3 will be fine. you did nothing wrong. just dont hold the on button just tap it next time.
