my boyfreinds birthday is coming up and i wanted to buy him a game console, he is 21 years old and he loves playing football games like fifa and pro evolution
but because he's a guy i thought, i would get him a nintendo wii because its all more interactive, i could of got him the football games as well as the shooting games and play guns and the driving games with the play steering wheels,
but am i just totally getting it all wrong, and do boys just like staying simple with playstation 3, but how boring would that be if i got him a playstation and just 2 games,,
i am gonna get him a watch and aftershave and other stuff too..
but please people, especially the boys 
help me out!
because i need to start saving up now, im only 19 Lol and jobless!

Suggestion:
I think most males prefer either PS3 or xBox 360. The Wii is most attractive to young kids and females. Since he likes sports games, then you might want to get the PS3. BUT, the XBox is better for sports in my opinion and it is cheaper than a PS3 but it's up to you.
And also, with the PS3 you're going to want to get the Playstation Move. It enhances the games. But it also adds $100 to the price of the console. And with the XBox, you will want to get the Kinect which also adds $100 to the price. You DON'T have to get these things, but your bf will surely feel left out if he doesn't have them.

Playstation Move (by itself) : $120

XBox 4 GB: $200 (this console has almost no memory, meaning your bf won't be able to save a lot of games)

Depends on what your boyfriend is like. If he is a serious gamer(staying up all night playing, playing alot of different games, getting all the achievements) Then the Play Station is the best route. If he is a casual gamer, playing every now and then, and nothing hardcore, then the WII could be a possible choice.
however, i think you should go the Play Station either way. The WII is a family console, thus it won't appeal as much to the gamers. The Play Station is a gamer console.
get him a PS3 or an XBOX 360 they have online gaming and a lot better games Wii with sport games rnt very interactive at all i played fifa sitting on my couch when i was a little kid so go with XBOX 360 or PS3 he will enjoy them more because they can do more….Wii is more for family fun
Well I have both Wii and xbox 360(which is similar to the ps3) and I can tell you that Wii is funny, but it will being boring. I think you should buy him a 360, which is better than the ps3 on sports in my opinion(and the kinect is going to launch soon, google it).
get him a ps3 or a xbox 360 thhe ps3 is more bang for your buck im not sure about the new 360 but the old one i went thru 4 in five months so i dont even mess with microsoft anymore but im not sure abut the new ones and i dont care 2 find out plus the 360s interface feels like it was designed for preschoolerrs ps3 is sexy and more apealing to people ur bfs age

the wii is aimed at a much younger person. i would go for a 360 or ps3
