Can Ps3 Save Data Get Infected by a Virus?
Ok this is a weird question but I will try my best to explain it. I have been having problems with my ps3 for a while(it would shut off on it's own seconds after I turned it on), I tried getting someone to fix it but it didn't work. Anyway I pretty much decided it was dead, but today I tried starting the ps3 in safe mode and then I restored the ps3. I had all my gave saves on a usb drive anyway. So after I restored it I turned it on and it started working normal. I was excited that it was actually working so I just put in a game and played it for a couple hours and it worked great. Then I thought I would try copying my old game saves onto the ps3. I put the usb drive in, but when I tried to load the game data, the ps3 shut off right away just like it use to. So I took out the usb drive and turned it on again and it worked fine. I played a game for about an hour with no problems. Then I tried signing into my old account with my existing account. As soon as I pressed 'sign in' the ps3 shut off. It's like everytime I try to use my old account or game saves it shuts off. It's like there's a virus on my data or something. Does that make any sense? I'm sorry for the long answer and I probably sound pretty stupid but if anyone could help me out that would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for reading
Suggestion:
I have never heard of a PS3 virus and how it would get in there, strange it doesn't like your old account, I would email Sony and see what they say as there could be an obvious explanation!
