I need some help finding a ps3 game for someone…..?
Are there any other games similar to either Heavy Rain or Assassin's Creed II?
Or perhaps you have any other recommendations for some games?
Please no first person shooter type games.
Suggestion:
I have to say that I enjoyed Metal Gear Solid 4 very much myself. Speaking of which Altair's robes (from Assassin's Creed) are an unlockable.
Though if they've never played Metal Gear before it would be best to also buy the Metal Gear Essential Collection.
Failing that, Uncharted 2 or Infamous can offer a similar experience to Assassin's Creed.

I would reccomend Red Dead Redemption and Oblivion.
Red Dead Redemption – Wild west type game in which you have a 3rd person view on the character.
The storyline is LONG and FREE, the fighting is unique and there are MANY other things to do in the game (such as hunting, capturing horses with a lasoo, selling meats etc., doing missions for different settlements, meeting strangers and helping them out etc.
The environment in this game is very realistic and differs from sandy places in Mexico to the icy mountains in the US. The world is obviously very big.
The period that the game is set in allows the player to witness the transition between the wild west and industrialisation.
So yeah, its AWESOME.
Oblivion – fantasy middle ages type game. Not a shooter obviously. An older game but MASSIVE storyline, guilds to join, people to meet and since it is first person it is like YOU ARE THERE!
There are sidequests, normal quests and just random shizlles you can do.

Red Dead Redemption it's one of the best games on ps3. It's a western where you can do almost ANYTHING: hunt, duel with other cowboys , steal trains and wagons kill shoppers , drink , play poker, shoot gangs, get "wanted" . its just a great game with a stunning storyline and great graphics. There are millions of random events that can appear as u r riding. Prisoners might have escaped a carriage and ur job is to either bring them in unharmed or but a bullet into their heads. There are a variety of horses that can become quite attaching. Dont even get me started about the multiplayer it is AWESOME.
Bad Company 2 is an awesome game mainly for its online multiplayer. U can flatten any building. U can jump off a moving helicopter and deploy ur parachute and snipe every person in sight. One word Awesome.
