I'm Going to Get Alltel Internet and I Was Wondering if the Connection Would Be Fast Enough for My Ps3.?

I was also wondering if i could plug the usb modem right into my ps3 so i wouldn't have to run any cords and if this helps the game i will be playing is Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

Suggestion:

a usb modem won't work to connect a ps3
you need home internet with a modem
you can plug an ethernet cable direct from a modem if you aren't connecting more than one device online ( like a pc , ps3 etc. )
to use more than 1 device online you'll also need a router to give each an ip address . you can use a wireless router and use the ps3 wifi connection if you want to go wireless instead .

you asked if it was fast enough but didn't say how fast the service was . a minimum 1mbs broadband is required for online gaming . ( mw2 is a pig and might lag with less than 2mbs so buy the fastest you can afford ) – don't even attempt online gaming with dial-up service , and again – a usb modem can't be used ( ps3s don't sense internet via usb – it's only able to power devices and copy/transfer/view media )
