Ps3 Headset Trouble Please Help?

I have a ps3 and i am trying to use my headset to talk to people online.The problem is that i connect the headset (usb cord headset) i go to set it up and it reads it. So i go to the game but i dont know how to talk to people i dont see no kind of options on the game need help by the way the game that i am trying to play os fifa world cup south africa. the headset is one that i use on my computer. but the ps3 does find it so i dont think i reall matters, but i might be wrong please help?

when you attach a headset the procedure is :
go to settings / audio devise settings
select the headset as your input and output devices and test it works , adjust volume if necessary
each game is different , not all support headsets – read the manual
it will tell you how to set up headset use if it's supported , some are automatic and others have to be set up in game options ( you might need to enable voice chat , adjust voip or chat settings etc. to use a headset )

if when setting up your headset in ps3 settings it doesn't work or isn't found it probably isn't compatible , not all usb headsets are because of the usb drivers needed – only a mono usb headset is ps3 compatible ( one earpiece )
