So I need some help.. right now I have a WRT54G2 v1.5 Linksys router, pretty basic router. I also have a modem, which hooks up to the router. I did speed tests and ping tests and overall it seems my internet connection isn't the problem.. I am however causing some lag to the PS3 online gaming. My ISP results were beyond average when doing speed tests, so internet connection doesn't seem to be the problem.
Heres my results for ping:

Now here are my questions..
1. Should I ask my ISP(Internet Service Provider) for faster internet speed? Perferably upload speed as it is lower then the average ISP?
2. Is there anyway I can connect two ethernet cables on one modem if the modem only has one ethernet port? The reason I ask this is because I would like to use an ethernet cable instead of using a router. Basically be able to connect to the Internet on my PS3 and Computer without a router.
Any help would be much appreciated.. Thanks.
Suggestion:
Your NAT connection could be the problem… when gaming you always want to have an open NAT type… what could be slowing you down would be if you had a NAT type that is moderate or strick. Go to your network settings page on the PS3 main screen… test your internet connection to see if you have an open NAT type…. if you dont have an open NAT type go find a tutorial on youtube =]
