Suggestion:
No but ALL PS3s can play PS1 games.
From my understanding only the 20 GB and 60 GB ones are backwards compatible (meaning they play PS2 games). Playstation lost a lot of money with PS3s at first because no one really bought them when they first came out because of how much they cost. They cost a good $600+ because of their backwards compatibility. So they took out that capability so they could make the PS3 more affordable. Now you see them for a good $300+ instead.
If you find one that is 20 GB or 60 GB it's an older model and plays PS2 games but they don't sell those anymore. You can probably find one on eBay or Amazon.com but BEWARE: you're probably going to end up paying the same price – or more – as you would if you just bought a new one with more GB that doesn't play PS2 games.
My recommendation, get a PS3 and just don't get rid of your PS2 then you can have the best of BOTH worlds!
