Ive Been Hearing Rumors About Ps3 Slim Being Able to Play Ps2 Games?

im not sure if its true or not, but i see no reason why they wouldnt do that. itd be pretty awesome. is it true? is there any indications anywhere that they might do that?

Suggestion:

I'd highly doubt it. I say that because backwards compatibility is an embedded feature in older consoles. They had hardware or software emulation. The 20GB ad 60GB consoles had hardware features where they could read almost all PS2 games. The later released 80GB console was only able to emulate software meaning it mirrors what the hardware was doing, hence the word emulate. Sony took backwards compatibility out of the consoles because it was costing them lots of money. However, in the near future Sony may start bringing PS2 games to the PlayStation Store. But I don't even feel bad for you. Sony shouldn't bring backwards compatibility back to the consoles. I had to wait in line and pay $600 for my 60GB at launch while you guys get your Slim for cheap. Just buy a PS2 if you want to play the classics or just buy a classic PS3.
