Suggestion:
Because the Linux runs the emulators, you can no longer use the emulators because Sony made us do an update for removing the ability to install an OS on the PS3 such as Linux. They did the because hackers were getting closer and closer to hacking the console.
The first PS3's that came out was backwards compatible with PS2 and PS1 games, but as far as I know, gamers who do not have that first PS3 can no longer play PS2 and PS1 games on the PS3 for now. Luckily I own the older PS3
