World of Warcraft Rogue Guide
If you happen to really like violent combat then check out the Rogue class. As an excellent Melee DPS the Rogue is fantastic for this type of player. I’ll introduce the Rogue’s talents and strengths in the WoW Rogue guide.
We’ll start with a look a some of their strengths.
- High DPS: It’s this high damage per second that makes the Rogue such a great Melee fighter.
- Stealth: This lets the Rogue sneak up to enemies without detection.
- Fantastic PvP Class: Rogue are on of the best PvP classes in Warcraft. The Resilience attribute is really important among other gear you need to stay alive in this situation.
Let’s now take a look in this WoW Rogue guide at some weakness the Rogue class has.
- Target in PvP: Their dangerous reputation can make them a primary PvP target.
- Reduced Damage Ratio: When wielding 2 weapons the damage ratio of the off hand weapon is reduced.

Having the right talent build based on your own playing preferences will make things a lot more fun. Tha’t what we look at next in the WoW Rogue Guide. The talent builds fit into 3 categories as follow.
- Assassination: The build I’ll talk about is called the Mutilate build.
- Combat: I’ll talk specifically about Combat Swords.
- Subtlety: We’ll take a look at a build called the Subtlety.
The Mutilate build in a dagger and poison based build. One weakness of this build is that the enemy may either be immune to the poison or have the ability to somehow heal from it. The following is a list of some excellent talents to have.
- Mutilate: Instant 2 handed attack
- Hunger for Blood: This causes you to become enraged and cause more damage.
- Improved Poison: This is an essential talent
- Master Poisoner: Increases critical chance of your attack by 3%
- Vile Poisoner: Increase damage of poison and Envenom ability
- Dual Wield Specialization: Another essential talent
For high, sustained DPS choose the Combat Swords build. It’s absolutely essential to have the Sinister Strike ability for this build. Here’s a list of other talents to have.
- Duel Wield Specialization
- Killing Spree
- Improved Slice and Dice
- Blade Flurry
- Blade Twisting
- Surprise Attacks
The Subtlety build takes advantage of the Rogue’s unique stealth abilities. A list of additional talents that are good to have is below.
- Honor Among Thieves
- Premeditation
- Preparation
- Sinister Calling
- Initiative
- Elusiveness
I won’t go any deeper in the WoW Rogue guide into leveling or the talents themselves but one thing to remember is that the talent builds lend themselves to your unique playing style so choose wisely.
